Collaboration with local “green” sectors strengthens the Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Associations’ board of directors, positioning this area NGO for a future vision.

Fort Collins, Colorado: Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association (RMSLA) (www.SustainableLivingAssociation.org) announced on July 31st the addition of three new Board Members from the Fort Collins community and a strategic partnership between these environmentally responsible organizations.

“RMSLA is a key driver to educate the community on sustainable practices including renewable energy, food, resources, etc. I look forward to learning as much as helping this great community organization,” says McFaddin.

Doug Odell, founder of Odell Brewing Company, (http://www.OdellBrewing.com) opened the second microbrewery in the state of Colorado in 1989. Doug and his staff ‘walk the talk’ when it comes to environmental responsibility, by participating in the City of Fort Collins’ Climate Wise and Wind Power programs, utilizing the Hot Box Shot during peak electrical demands and fueling their diesel trucks with biodiesel.

Katy Bigner, Environmental Project Coordinator for Fort Collins Utilities, (http://www.fcgov.com) is coordinator for the 21st Century Utilities Sustainability Initiative, and for the pilot Climate Change adaptation project assisting with the NISP workgroup. The City of Fort Collins has been represented on the Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association Board of Directors since 2005.

Other sustainable sectors represented on this Board of Directors include, New Belgium Brewing Company, GenGreen LLC, National Parks Conservation Association, Public Service Credit Union, Blue Sun Biodiesel and others.  Since 2003, the Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association has combined its efforts with those of people who are leading the area in innovative, green business development.
