Workshop Description
This workshop will be rescheduled for the Fall, check back for the date! With the growing popularity of local and seasonal food systems like farmer’s markets, Community Supported Agriculture Programs, and backyard gardens, this class will bring the benefits of this trend to a new level. By blending the benefits of seasonal eating with the ancient medicinal nutritional wisdom of Chinese Medicine, participants will learn how to create nutrition plans for each season based on their own individual needs, combined with what’s available at market. Did you know that the foods you need in the height of the summer heat are different than the ones you need in the dead of the cold, dark winter? Learning to eat with the rhythm of the seasons is fun, better for the environment, and the best foundation for vibrancy and prevention of illness!
