Earth Day Fort Collins inspires community members to honor the Earth EVERY DAY and features a combination of activities and events for the entire family, including informational booths and displays, arts & crafts, live music, speakers, local food and a beer garden.

 

You’ll find plenty of opportunities to learn more about area non-profits working on issues you care about and how to get involved.

Youth Climate Action Event –  Make  Move!

 

At the 12th annual Earth Day Fort Collins event local youth will gather to train and inspire other youth on 4 different educational areas focused on climate change and how to take action.

 

This event is led, organized and implemented by youth who are aware of the effects of climate change on our planet AND they want to do something about it.

Talk About It

Training on how to talk about climate change utilizing our free ebook, “Communicating Climate“.

Act On It

Youth will give their time to participate in a community service project.

Learn About It

Information sharing with a panel of youth experts followed by a Q&A session.

DIY

Educational session on composting (reducing greenhouse gas from food waste) & biking (alternative transportation).

Youth Writing & Art Contest

 

We invite YOU to submit your poem, story, art piece or essay. All high school and middle school kids are eligible to participate regardless of which school you attend, or if you are homeschooled or not currently enrolled.

 

Thank you in advance to any educators, parents, or friends out there who help spread the word.  And thank you as well to any writers who embrace the challenge and submit their work.  Check out our submission guidelines – we have cool prizes too.
