As a unique collaboration between the Sustainable Living Association, Colorado State University’s School of Global Environmental Sustainability and the Poudre School District Career & Innovation Department, this event will engage students to learn from each other and from the foremost leaders of climate science.
This next-generation climate education event is available to students between 8th-12th grade across Northern Colorado. Registration is now open.
This form is specifically for teachers, schools, and other groups who would like to register students for the event. Many students in the Poudre School District will have transportation provided by their schools, but if your school is outside of the district, we will coordinate with you to arrange possible transportation opportunities.
This form is for individual sign-ups ONLY. Most students will be attending as part of school groups, with transportation provided by their school. Please check with your school to see if they’re bringing a group, as transportation will be covered for those students. If you register here as an individual, please plan to arrange your own transportation.
Climate literacy is all about understanding how our planet's climate works, how humans are impacting it, and what that means for our future. It's like having a roadmap to understand the changes happening around us.
When you're climate literate, you can make informed choices in your daily life. From choosing sustainable transportation options to reducing waste, every action you take can make a difference in combating climate change.
Being climate literate means you're equipped to speak up and advocate for policies and practices that protect our planet. Your voice matters in shaping a sustainable future.
Climate literacy helps us prepare for the impacts of climate change. By understanding these challenges, we can work together to build resilient communities that can adapt and thrive in a changing climate.
The program open at 10am with a keynote address form Scott Denning, one of CSU’s foremost leaders of climate science. Students then have an opportunity to participate in three rounds of breakout sessions followed by lunch, with table talks hosted by graduate students. The event wraps up with a closing keynote, fun giveaways and closing remarks from our student coordinators.
In a world where environmental challenges loom large, the need for passionate, innovative, and dedicated individuals to lead the charge has never been greater.
We invite you to embark on a journey of exploration and discovery in the vibrant realm of climate education and careers.
